Breaking: Big layoffs are underway at Emirates Airlines this afternoon, where pilots and cabin crew are being taken in to meeting rooms as groups and told that their jobs have been made redundant.
The figure could be around 600 pilots and nearly 7,000 cabin crew, sources say.
