Incident: Hawaiian A332 at Honolulu on May 10th 2017, problems with
gear retraction
A Hawaiian Airlines Airbus A330-200, registration N370HA performing
flight HA-50 from Honolulu,HI to New York JFK,NY (USA) with 291 people on board,
was in the initial climb out of Honolulu's runway 08R when the crew requested to
stop the climb at 3000 feet advising they had problems with the gear retraction.
The aircraft burned off fuel and returned to Honolulu for a safe landing about
65 minutes after departure.
A replacement A330-200 registration N388HA
reached New York with a delay of 4:10 hours.
The occurrence aircraft is
still on the ground about 18 hours after landing back.
