D-Day 75 flypast route: 34 planes to fly above Cambridgeshire, Suffolk and Essex
To commemorate the 75th anniversary of D-Day the Imperial War Museum are marking the occasion with a cross-channel flight recreating the Second World War story.
The Normandy landings, known as D-Day, took place on June 6 1944 and saw the Allied forces land on the beaches of northern France in a bid to take back control of Nazi-occupied France.
So far, 34 different aircraft have been confirmed for the flypast on Wednesday 5 June.
They were due set off at 1.40pm from the Imperial War Museum at Duxford in Cambridgeshire. Though they have been delayed, they are now expected to take off at 3:24pm.
Headed towards Caen-Carpiquet Airport in Normandy, they will be escorted by a group of Second World War fighters.

WEDNESDAY 5 JUNE: THE ROUTE OVER CAMBRIDGESHIRE, SUFFOLK AND ESSEX
The take off has been delayed until around 3:24pm, adjust flight times accordingly.
On Wednesday, 5 June, the planes will take off from Duxford airfield at approximately 1.40pm to 2.05pm and make their way over Essex, towards Eastbourne.
At around 2.21pm they are expected to fly over Colchester to reach Southend by 2.29pm.
All times are approximate and weather dependant.
The aircraft will then fly to Le Havre in France and the historic UK Drop Zone at Sannerville.
Finally the fleet will descend on Caen-Carpiquet Airport around 4.45pm local time.
