Integrating RPAS into Civil Airspace

On 12 March 2013, a free workshop entitled “Integrating RPAS into Civil Airspace”, that had been organized by UVS International, took place at ATC Global 2013 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. The workshop room was nearly filled to capacity and a good number of lively panel discussions took place.

The meeting was opened by Robin Valkenburcht (Ministry of Infrastructure & Environment, The Netherlands), and presentations were given by Peter van Blyenburgh (UVS International), Michael Cramer (EuroSDR), Gert Kruiswijk (CAA-NL, The Netherlands), Ron van de Leijgraaf (JARUS), Filippo Tomasello (EASA), and André Clot (EuroUSC, UK). Unfortunately, the heavy snow fall in Brussels that day prevented Jean-Pierre Lentz (European Colmmission DG Enterprise & Industry) from coming to Amsterdam to give his presentation. Filippo Tomasello (EASA) and I filled in for Jean-Pierre Lentz, and gave the audience a flavor of the upcoming European RPAS Roadmap.
