The EMARSS, a Beechcraft King Air with Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) modifications, completed a four hour flight at the Beechcraft facility in Wichita, Kan. Flight testing of the aircraft evaluated all of the aircraft systems, autopilot functions and aerodynamic handling qualities.

Boeing is building four EMARSS aircraft as part of a U.S. Army engineering and manufacturing development testing (EMD) contract. The EMARSS King Air platform is designed to provide surveillance and target tracking capabilities in low visibility conditions.
