Russia's IFC Firms Order for 42 Bombardier CSeries Aircraft
Moscow-based leasing firm Ilyushin Finance Co. (IFC) has firmed its $2.56 billion purchase agreement for 42 CSeries aircraft.
The firm agreement was approved by IFC shareholders after being announced by Bombardier as a conditional agreement in February. The agreement covers 32 CS300 aircraft, with options for an additional 10 CS300 aircraft. If options are exercised, IFC's order value would increase to approximately $3.42 billion.
“This is a landmark order for Bombardier Aerospace and its CSeries aircraft, as well as for this premier Russian leasing company,” said Mike Arcamone, president of Bombardier's commercial aircraft unit.
The CSeries, Bombardier's first full-size commercial aircraft family, is scheduled for entry into service in 2014. The first flight is scheduled for June
