Menace Pilots

Los Angeles Police helicopter pilots in February listen as rewards of up to $10,000 are announced for information that leads to the arrest of people who aim laser pointers at aircraft. Pilots say the laser strikes can temporarily blind them. Associated Press
People keep aiming powerful laser pointers at aircraft-where they can distract or even temporarily blind pilots and crew-despite jail sentences for offenders and rewards for people who turn them in.
