The UPS drone delivery service at WakeMed Health and Hospitals in Raleigh, North Carolina, has not been affected by an accident in Switzerland earlier this year that led Swiss Post to suspend operations of the drone that both carriers use to transport medical samples. UPS said last month that it had applied to the FAA for a Part 135 air carrier certificate to operate the WakeMed delivery service, which uses the M2 quadcopter supplied by Matternet, of Mountain View, California.
