Embraer
The Portuguese government has formally signed up to purchase Embraer’s KC-390 airlifter. Government officials signed off on the €827 million ($916 million) contract with the Brazilian manufacturer in Evora, Portugal, on Aug. 22, paving the way for first deliveries in 2023. The signing comes after the government announced it had approved the purchase of five aircraft, a services and support package and a flight simulator in July.
