A Belgian Air Force F-16
crashed into a building near Leeuwarden Air Base (Vliegbasis Leeuwarden) used
by the Royal Netherlands Air Force, earlier today.
“In the
morning of July 1, a (Belgian Air Force) F-16 crashed into an opposite
building. Two people were injured as a result,” said a tweet posted
on the official Vliegbasis Leeuwarden account.
Pilot of the aircraft
managed to eject safely. There was no fire or explosion.
The cause of this incident
is still unclear. It is now currently being investigated.

The pilot decided to eject and survived with minor injuries.
