Germany is set to buy hundreds of Skyranger 30 mobile air-defense systems in a major push to counter the growing drone threat. Mounted on Boxer armored vehicles, the Skyranger’s 30mm cannon can fire programmable airburst rounds designed to shred small drones, while also taking on helicopters, aircraft, and cruise missiles at short ranges. The program will replace Germany’s retired Gepard anti-aircraft guns and dramatically expand its battlefield and infrastructure protection capabilities.    Learn more about the Skyranger here.
