Fokker 27 crashes in Halim

A Fokker F-27 aircraft crashed into the ground on Thursday afternoon at the Rajawali housing complex near Halim Perdana Kusuma Airbase, East Jakarta, reportedly damaging several houses of local residents.
Jakarta Police operations bureau chief Sr. Comr. Agung Budi Maryoto confirmed the news.
“Yes, we have received the information. An aircraft belonging to the Indonesian Air Force [TNI AU] has just crashed in Halim,” Agung said as quoted by
kompas.com.
No casualties were yet reported, however, according to Metro TV at least six houses had caught on fire.
Police and the firefighters have been deployed to the scene.
