The Air Lease Corporation has firmed up its order,
announced at last year’s Paris Air Show, for 36 A320neo family aircraft, 20 of
which will be the larger A321neo version. The value of the order is
approximately $3.5 billion at list prices. In addition there are options on a
further 14 aircraft. The Los Angeles based lessor said that engine selection
will be made at a later date.
Steven Udvar-Házy, Air Lease Corporation’s Chairman and CEO,
said that the A320neo family will be “a cornerstone in ALC’s portfolio going
forward”.
Including this latest order, ALC’s total orders for new aircraft
from Airbus will reach 100, consisting of 50 A320 Family, 36 A320neo Family and
14 A330 Family aircraft.
