HA NOI (VNS) — A helicopter crashed at 7.46am today in Hoa Lac Village, Binh Yen Commune, in Ha Noi's Thach That District, which is about three kilometres from the Hoa Lac Airport.
The Mi171 helicopter, marked with the number 01, belonged to the Air Force Helicopter Regiment 916, Air Force Division 371, under the Air Defence and Air Force Services.
The Mi171 helicopter took off at 7.30am and lost contact with air traffic control at 7.46am. It was conducting a parachute training exercise.
The General Staff of the General Political Department sent a team to the site of the accident to cooperate with different agencies in the investigation. — VNS
