A Cessna 208 Caravan of Alkan Air was damaged beyond repair when it crashed into the side of a mountain north of Mayo Lake, Yukon, Canada The pilot and passenger were fatally injured.
The aircraft departed from Rackla Airstrip with Mayo Airport (YMA/CYMA), YT, as the planned destination when it went missing while enroute.
Alkan Air is operating one Cessna 208 Caravan (C-FMKP) and three Cessna 208B Grand Caravan's (C-FAKV, C-FAKZ, C-FSKF). The airline reported in a statement that a "C208 Caravan" was involved in the accident.
