(Red.)

The seismic activity on the Reykjanes peninsula has shifted to the Sundhnúkar crater line in the past day. It can be said that a series of larger earthquakes began there this morning after a relative calm from afternoon yesterday.
The earthquakes last night measured all under magnitude 2, but today’s largest earthquakes have measured 3.5 and 3.3 in magnitude.
Almost all of the earthquakes in the area have occurred in the Sundhnúkar crater line, which lies to the east of Sýlingarfell and the other side of the ridge from the power plant in Svartsengi.
Most of the earthquakes detected this morning have been in the Sundhnúka crater row of volcanoes, where the red dots are. Map/Icelandic Met Office

The largest earthquake in the cycle measured 4.8 on Thursday night, and it originated just west of Mt. Þorbjörn.
