Helicopter Day at Udvar-Hazy Center

Smithsonian Air and Space Museum hosts static display, kids activities centered around rotorcraft.

The Smithsonian’s Air and Space Museum hosted an event dedicated to helicopters on August 11 at the Udvar-Hazy Center near Dulles Airport in Virginia. Helicopters on display outside the museum consisted of a Fairfax County Police Bell 429, U.S. Coast Guard Eurocopter MH-65 Dolphin, UH-72 Lakota, MD500 and Robinson R22.
