Denne organisasjonen bør legges ned i påvente av bedre tider. Det som står under er noe de enkelte lands CAA`s må sørge for. En kan ikke ha en egen organisasjon for dette nå som økonomien er på et lavmål i helikopterselskapene. (red.)

HeliOffshore Offers HUMS Best Practices Guide

HeliOffshore is offering helicopter operators around the world guidelines for standardizing and improving their use of health and usage monitoring systems (HUMS). The global safety assn. for the offshore helicopter industry said the guidelines and an associated implementation guide are the result of more than 12 months of collaboration between the world’s top HUMS specialists, including operators, manufacturers and oil companies and HUMS experts, who have shared data, policies and experiences and identified and developed industry-wide best practices. HUMS are sensor-based monitoring systems that measure health and performance of an aircraft’s mission-critical components. In parallel, the group has launched “HeliOffshore Space,” an online collaboration tool, which HeliOffshore CEO Gretchen Haskins said is a first for the global industry. “Through HeliOffshore Space,” she said, “we’re empowering our industry experts to collaborate to the benefit of everyone at the frontline and everyone who travels offshore.” You can find the HUMS guidance here and the implementation guide here.
