SDA NEXT Will Allow U.S. Military To Experiment With Transport Layer

The Transport Layer is to be the “backbone” of the Pentagon’s JADC2 battlefield network.

As part of an experiment, the Space Development Agency plans to offer U.S. military services and various Defense Department organizations 10 satellite buses that will carry user payloads and connect to Tranche 1 of its Transport Layer mesh satellite communications network.
