Falcon Field - Mesa Arizona Open House tomorrow

See the historic Falcon Field in Mesa, Arizona, and its legacy aircraft at the airport’s annual open house Saturday. Learn about the airport’s origins as a World War II pilot training base at the on-site museum, which will host a Southwest Military Transport Show. Area businesses and organizations will allow future pilots to learn about aviation careers, and the Civil Air Patrol will be on hand with a flight simulator. Exhibits of aircraft, classic cars and railroad exhibits will offer something for every visitor. The Wings of Dreams Aviation Museum in Keystone Heights, Florida, welcomes all to a breakfast buffet fundraiser Saturday morning. Featured speakers will include WASP pilots and other women who contributed to American aviation. Also Saturday, FlyQuest is hosting the Second Annual Women of Aviation Fly-In/Drive-In. It is free to the public. The event will feature seminars, free Young Eagles flights for kids 8 to 17, static displays, activities and food. To celebrate the upcoming Women of Aviation Worldwide Week, there will be featured women speakers including pilots and an air traffic controller. All weekend, the Commemorative Air Force Red Tail Squadron will have its traveling exhibit at the Wings Over Miami Air Museum at Kendall-Tamiami Executive Airport.
