2014 Safety Forum: Airborne Conflict
June 2-3, 2015

The Flight Safety Foundation, EUROCONTROL and ERA will be jointly presenting another single issue Operational Safety Forum in 2015, this time on Safety and Automation in Aviation. It will be held at EUROCONTROL, Brussels on the afternoon of 02 June and the morning of 03 June 2015.

The Forum aims to attract global participation of representatives from all the aviation sectors concerned with the aim of producing a conference report which documents the consensus findings and conclusions and proposes recommendations & follow-up action items to deal with thematic issues unveiled and covered.

The Forum will examine the benefits and risk associated with aviation automation, including:
  • Current benefits and challenges: Overview of the current situation with automation, the safety benefits and challenges associated with automation.
  • Best practices: Share best practice from Aircraft Operators and Air Navigation Service Providers - the problems and the solutions.
  • Future developments: Explore the benefits and challenges associated with potential future developments in automation.

The Regional Aviation Safety Group - Pan America (RASG-PA), the Medellin Tourism Bureau and the Colombian Civil Aviation Authority in partnership with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and the Latin America and Caribbean Air Transport Association - ALTA, will be sponsoring the 6th Pan American Aviation Safety Summit and the 8th RASG-PA Annual Plenary Meeting.
