Norwegian aerospace and defense company Nammo is working with the European Space Agency (ESA) to help industrialize flight-proven hybrid propulsion technology for the development of a family of low-cost, responsive sounding rockets and small-payload launch vehicles. The venture, known as the North Star launch family, builds on the successful launch of the company’s Nucleus technology demonstrator sounding rocket from Andoya Space Center in northern Norway in September 2018.
