Norwegian innleid fly med problemer - Curt Lewis

Incident: Euroatlantic B763 near Gander on Sep 5th 2019, smoking CDU An Euroatlantic Boeing 767-300 on behalf of Norwegian Air Shuttle, registration CS-TKT performing flight DY-7194 from Newark,NJ (USA) to Rome Fiumicino (Italy), was enroute at FL330 about 70nm north of Gander,NL (Canada) when the crew reported the left hand control display unit (CDU) emitted smoke and declared Mayday. The crew decided to divert to Gander, where the aircraft landed safely about 45 minutes later. The Canadian TSB reported maintenance removed the left hand CDU, which showed evidence of overheating and soot buildup in the area of the box cooling vent. The CDU was replaced.
