Twin Chopper Drops Featured in RAF Photo Competition

While photos of helicopters did not win any first prizes at the annual RAF photo competition – obviously no rotorheads on the judging panel – two photos featuring RAF helicopters got through to the final selection. In Category C, RAF Operational Experience, Senior Aircraftman (SAC) Dave Turnbull’s picture of personnel leaving a Puma helicopter during the completion of their Helicopter Abseil Instructors course took second place.

Just out of placing, SAC Nicholas Egin’s photo of a Chinook from 18 Squadron delivering feed for farm animals isolated farm animals in Northern Ireland during snowy weather was highly recommended by the judging panel.
