De Zeven Provinciën and NH90 Go Dutch to Track Kuznetzov

The Royal Netherlands Navy air defense and command frigate (LCF) De Zeven Provinciën encountered a Russian carrier battlegroup in the Bay of Biscay on 6 May, the Dutch Ministry of Defense announced yesterday.
The LCF was on its way to the Somali coast to participate in the EU's Operation Atalanta counterpiracy mission when it spotted the Kuznetzov escorted by five other warships at around midday on 6 May.
The Dutch frigate launched its NH90 helicopter to monitor the Russian battlegroup and its movements.
