Turkish Airlines Places $6.9 Billion Order for Boeing 737s
Turkish Airlines has committed to ordering 50 737 MAX aircraft from Boeing, a $6.9 billion order at current list prices. The order includes 40 737 MAX 8s, 10 737 MAX 9s and 20 Next-Generation 737-800s.

The Turkish national carrier's order includes options for 25 additional 737 MAX 8s.
The commitment for the Boeing 737s comes following a recent Turkish Airlines purchase announced in March for 117 Airbus A320 family aircraft. The airline is looking to accommodate for its projected growth as it carried 39 million passengers in 2012, and expects to reach 46 million this year and 90 million by 2020.
