Icelandair bestiller nye fly

Det går mot slutten for "..slim body, long legs and two big ones...."

IcelandAir Orders 12 Boeing 737 MAXs

Icelandair has agreed to a $1.2 billion order for 12 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, an order that will add to the Icelandic carrier’s current all-Boeing fleet of 23 757 planes used for cargo and passenger operations.

The commitment is not firm yet, and includes both the 737 MAX 8 and 9 variants as Icelandair looks to expand its network to more destinations in Europe.

"This commitment is the result of our research into what aircraft manufacturers have on offer to help us strengthen and grow our fleet and our network towards the future," said Bjorgolfur Johannsson, Icelandair Group president and CEO.

Icelandair’s commitment for the 737 MAX is Boeing’s latest announced order for its next generation single-aisle airplane, following a large order from SilkAir in November.
