China developing high speed helicopters, says country's major aircraft maker


China is striving to make helicopters that can achieve speed of up to 500 kilometre per hour, president of Aviation Industry Corporation of China Lin Zuoming said.

BEIJING: China is developing helicopters that are twice as fast than the current ones, the country's major aircraft maker said on Thursday.

China is striving to make helicopters that can achieve speed of up to 500 kilometre per hour, president of Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC) Lin Zuoming said.

"We have been keeping pace with other countries," Lin added.
