Boeing Speeds up 737 Production

[Aviation Today February 7, 2014] Boeing has begun assembling its Next-Generation 737 family aircraft at a rate of 42 per month, its highest production level ever.

Since 2010, the 737 monthly production rates have increased about 33 percent, from 31.5 to 42. By 2017, Boeing wants to increase the rate to 47 per month to keep up with demand.

Delivery of the first aircraft built at the new rate is scheduled for the second quarter.
