Helitech 2014 Readies for Touchdown in Amsterdam
The three-day Helitech International helicopter exhibition and conference, which opens on Tuesday, will be held for the first time in Amsterdam. Some 180 exhibitors will share the Amsterdam RAI convention center’s floor, and the event features an extensive conference program. On Day 1, a business and strategy conference will gather the CEOs of major helicopter manufacturers, operators and leasing companies–a list that includes AgustaWestland, Airbus Helicopters, Bristow and Milestone Aviation. The following day the European Helicopter Association (EHA) has arranged a series of presentations and panel discussions about how EASA rulemaking and future air transport management schemes, such as Europe’s Sesar, will affect the rotorcraft industry. EASA certification director Norbert Lohl will give the keynote address that day as well. The final day of the show will be dedicated to safety, with topics such as educational data dissemination, flight data monitoring and safety management system implementation slated for discussion. The 2013 edition of Helitech attracted 220 exhibitors and 5,600 attendees to London’s Excel exhibition center. Helitech is organized by Reed Exhibitions in association with the EHA.
