Rosneft Buys 20 AW189s

Rosneft's RN Aircraft will purchase 20 Leonardo-Finmeccanica AugustaWestland AW189s for transport following an agreement between the manufacturer, Rosneft and Rostec.

Deliveries are expected in 2018. Three will be manufactured at Leonardo's plant in Italy and 17 at the HeliVert Leonardo-Russian Helicopters joint venture's plant in Moscow. 

This order is an addition to a previous order made in July 2015 for 10 AW189s. Future orders for a total of 160 helicopters are planned by 2025.
